Microbiota and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

The 45th IBioM BBS meet, hosted at Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, took on microbiota and antimicrobial resistance.

Ms. Rohini Prasad, nutrition expert in gut health, spoke on the missing link in the battle against AMR. Dr. Maneesh Paul, founder and CEO of Microvioma, discussed the role of microbiota in AMR. Dr. Divyashri G, Assistant Professor at MSRIT, presented on the sustainable production of food oligosaccharides from agro-waste and the isolation of probiotics from breast milk for enhanced mental health.
